A female urethral stricture is a less condition. Buccal mucosa graft (BMG) widely used tissue for repair. Despite repeated attempts dilations, obstructive complaints persisted. Additionally, lack sexual arousal painful intercourses, affected patient’s quality life. pt was treated with dorsal onlay urethroplasty using buccal graft, excision scar, floor muscle repair, repair opening surgery carried out suprameatal approach. semicircular incision performed urethra dissected from ventral aspect clitoris sharp blunt dissection up to proximal part stricture. Then, sagittal over BMG sutured dorsally edges quilted 4.0 polyglactin sutures. 16Fr Foley catheter left place weeks. we hydrodissection posterior wall, scar episiotomy tear, approximation levator ani muscle, Results Two weeks urinates without strain no post voiding residual urine. Uroflow 6 showed Qmax 28ml/sec easily passable 20Fr Nelaton catheter. Vaginal flap urethroplasty for wide female stricture disease.
PURPOSE As in men, female urethral stricture disease is often treated with repeat urethral dilation or internal urethrotomy but not always with good results. In nonresponsive cases surgical treatment may be useful but only a few cases are reported in the literature. We present our single institution experience with urethral reconstruction in 6 patients using an alternative vaginal inlay flap te...
متن کاملArthroscopic repair of complete tear of rotator cuff
Abstract Background: Rotator cuff tear is one of the most common causes of shoulder complaints in the elderly. Based on the severity and patient's condition, a variety of methods applies to manage the tear and surgery is an important method, which could be done by open or arthroscopic technique. The current study aimed to investigate and report short-term results of arthroscopic repair of...
متن کاملShort term results of arthroscopic repair of subscapularis tendon tear
Abstract Background: Despite being the largest rotator cuff tendon of the shoulder, the function and clinical relevance of subscapularis pathology has been largely ignored in the literature. Although many studies have focused on subscapularis tears recently, majority of them reported techniques for open repair. The advent of arthroscopy and arthroscopic repair techniques has opened ...
متن کاملVaginal-sparing ventral buccal mucosal graft urethroplasty for female urethral stricture: A novel modification of surgical technique
PURPOSE To present a novel modification of surgical technique to treat female urethral stricture (FUS) by a vaginal-sparing ventral buccal mucosal urethroplasty. Recurrent FUS represents an uncommon, though difficult clinical scenario to manage definitively. A variety of surgical techniques have been described to date, yet a lack of consensus on the optimal procedure persists. MATERIALS AND M...
متن کاملSecondary repair of severe chronic fourth-degree perineal tear due to obstetric trauma
Obstetric injury is the commonest cause of anal incontinence. We report a case of anal incontinence as a result of severe chronic fourth-degree perineal tear secondary to birthing with complete disruption of the perineum. Secondary repair consisting of an anterior sphincter repair and levatorplasty in a poor resourced area rendered excellent immediate clinical result. The outcome of anterior sp...
